Alloysius Attah’s Startup Farmerline wins $50,000 investment each from Village Capital

We were extremely pleased to hear that 2015 Future of Ghana pioneer Alloysius Attah startup Farmerline has been named as one of two winners of Village Capital’s FinTech for Agriculture accelerator programme in East Africa, walking away with $50,000 in investment.

Village Capital, which finds, trains and invests in early-stage ventures solving major social problems across the world, had selected the startups for its three-month accelerator programme, which aims to unlock innovations that increase access to financial services for smallholder farmers. The programme ended with a venture forum last  week, with participants ranking each other based on six criteria at which point Farmerline was selected as a winner,

Farmerline, which is expanding to East Africa and supports and is committed to empowering small-scale farmers in Ghana by providing agricultural information to farmers,

Farmerline are making an impact in the agricultural sector in Ghana and we wish Alloysius all the best as his business expands across the continent
