The 3rd GUBA Greenwich Trade Expo will take place in London from Friday the 15th of June 2018 to Sunday the 17th of June 2018. The three-day event will begin with a seminar, followed by an outdoor ‘African Market’ style exhibition of a range of African inspired products and services.
The GUBA Greenwich Trade Expo is a platform for African-inspired products and services to be showcased to a global audience, to increase exposure and create business development opportunities for African businesses.
The primary aim of the event is to develop entrepreneurs and showcase African inspired products from both UK and Africa created by small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), who seek to establish themselves in the British mainstream market. With the current economic changes and the announcement of Brexit, it is currently a great opportunity for Ghanaian and African businesses to explore emerging possibilities of trade partnerships in the UK.
The first day of the expo, which will take place at the Stephen Lawrence Building Lecture Theatre 101, University of Greenwich, will be a seminar divided into interactive workshops, panel discussions, drop in sessions and one to one drop in sessions will also be available. Industry leaders, experts, established businesses and organisations will be given the platform to speak about their work and offer industry advice in various areas. Topics on the day include:

The second and third days will be an opportunity for businesses to exhibit their products or services in a vibrant outdoor African Market – General Gordon Square, Woolwich. Products on display will include a vibrant collection of clothing, accessories, home décor essentials and much more. The products will be showcased and on sale to the general public. The outdoor exhibition is free for all to attend. Procurement experts and wholesale buyers from major outlets will also sample products, interact and provide advice.
Several dignitaries and business experts have confirmed attendance to the GUBA Greenwich Expo 2018. Amongst them are MP Adam Afriyie, UK Trade Envoy to Ghana, Kofi Addo, Minister of Trade, Ghana High Commission, Hon Carlos Ahenkorah, Deputy Minister for Trade & Industry, Ben Ainsley, Deputy Director Trade for Africa and many more.
